I found a puppy that was all skin and bones today while walking back from the store.

We’re keeping her overnight and found a rescue that’s taking her in tomorrow and they’ve already found her a forever home. I put her in the cage we have, but she keeps crying. We have two cats that don’t want anything to do with a dog… so I can’t really take her out. It’s pitiful.

I just don’t see why she hasn’t been picked up off of the streets sooner. Even her hip bones are sticking out, she looks like she hasn’t eaten in days.

Everyone in my neighborhood says that they don’t know who she belongs to, and they feed her scraps, but leave her outside? When winter is coming?

I just don’t get it.

It only took me fifteen minutes to find her a home.

For future reference.

Thank you.

For those who would ever need it. -C

reblogging here because i can see this being relevant to anyone who’s ever tried to get out of an abusive relationship

Reblogging because that last comment made me reread the whole thing in a new light and realize this could be vital information. So, putting it out there for everyone, and hoping no one ever really needs it.
